Give and Receive Kindness

How do we give and receive kindness?

Aesop, the ancient Greek storyteller, once said,

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

In some of my previous posts I have looked at what kindness is and its power and benefits on you and the world. With that knowledge how do we give and receive kindness?

Career and Knowing If It’s Time To Move On

Have you reached a point in your career where you feel it is time to move on?

This morning I participated in the Learning and Development Chat on Twitter (#LDInsight.) The question posed was a really interesting one:

“How did you decide that a career in L&D or OD was for you?”

Let’s take a look at some of the benefits of doing random acts of kindness.

Has Our World Become Less Kind?

Are we becoming less kind? Has kindness become something we eschew these days? When we look around us, especially on Social Media these days, it can seem that life has taken us to a place where we no longer value kindness as a trait.  It can feel that, kindness has been replaced with self-importance and wanting to stay impersonal. The question is why has the world become less kind?

Is it that we no longer care about others? Do we believe kindness makes us weak? Is the lack of kindness from some global change?

Some might say that kindness has become less and less important in our daily lives for several reasons.
